Tomorrow is the big day :|

Posted by CATH at 1:03 PM
During early May, I would always pray that June would arrive immediately. And I am now whining on how close first day of classes is. As close as 17 hours. I mean, yes, I am pretty excited to be in a new environment to discover a lot of things as a college freshman, but the thought of being out of my comfort zone, which is my alma mater, is something very uncomfortable.

I attended the ALEx Reboot Camp last June 2-3 and was able to talk to the college people there. And they assured to us (me and my college-to-be friends) that we will experience what they call "culture shock" most especially that we came from an all-girls school, which won't be anymore once the last remaining all-girls batch will graduate next year.

I went to my alma mater last May 28 to get my investigatory project setup (which was found after pleading help from my Physics teacher and almost an hour of wandering around the under-renovation campus). Then I was able to talk to my former Biology teacher (slash superfriend. Hahaha we're damn close) and we talked about college stuff blablabla and even talked about one of my future professors (a batchmate of some of my high school teachers). Daaaaaaaaang, college spirit is filling my very soul. (*Thanks Louise for accompanying me.)

I can't imagine myself being the newbie type since the last time I was a new student was Kinder. And that's a really long time. Like about 12 years ago.

Also, I got nags from the will-be seniors on facebook regarding their class sections. I remembered last summer we were also like that, nagging about being separated from some of our close friends. But anyway, life goes own. :)

Sighhhhh. I hope my first day will be alright. I'll surely find new friends and awesome professors.

That'll be all for now. Will keep this blog updated with the latest events in my first week of college :)
