It's my third week in the university and in my department and heck, I had a lot of fun! :)
Saturday, June 23. We had our general assembly for the whole Science and Mathematics Education Department (SMED) as one organization (Science Education Students Organization, or SESO), with the special presence of the dean of College of Education. That specific event had a lot of epic things, including the third and fourth years' skit presentation and the videos with our epic faces in it.
As for my subjects, Chemistry still hates me, as much as it had hated me in high school. And to ease all the "hatred", I somehow started the laughs inside the tensed classroom every Chemistry meeting. Like one time, our professor (the said batchmate of some of my HS teachers) showed to us a clay-pot-like thingy, which we later knew it was called clay shield. When he asked us what it was, I told him immediately it's a claypot. Which was wrong of course. And my other classmates joked around, calling it names, including cap, bowl, thick tripod, and some others. But what made the class laugh out loud was my answer which was a lampshade. I know it's kinda corny when you're reading this, but at the actual moment, we just couldn't stop laughing! :))
Another was yesterday's Chemistry session when our prof showed as a pipette-like apparatus. He asked us what it was, and we answered differently. Funnel, Pipette, Water stopper, Tube, Glass rod, and something like that. But when he said it started with letters TH, I just said my answer (THERMOMETER T____T) on my seat with a few friends hearing it, but still made the class laugh, including prof. Hahahaha. But I know that our professor was a bit of irritated about it so might as well shut up, I guess. And just emerge again during solving parts of Chem, which are my cups of tea ;)
Physics, my major, is getting more and more interesting, most especially the Errors part. We were taught in my high school chemistry (I don't remember errors as part of physics discussions) about random and systematic errors, but this time, with matching problem solving. And it was kinda fun, though some of my classmates' faces couldn't be drawn due to much tension, pressure, and confusion. -______-
I loved all my other subjects, most especially PE since coincidentally my teacher was the older sister of one of the batchmates of my Chem professor (okay, so much confusion with all the nouns. Sorry xD). We were waiting for the others to arrive and she wrote things on the board, including her name. So I immediately asked her relationship with a certain teacher back in my Alma mater and she told me they're siblings :)
Moreover, I have friends from the higher years, most of them, not all. Which is kinda cool :)
Anyway, just had the opportunity to post after hours of studying Trigonometry for me not to fail during th exam later :|
So, anyway. That's all I can share for now :)

No regrets :)
I woke up really early on the 13th of June. And in my head, I was thinking Oh my gosh. FIRST DAY!
I had all the time in the world to prepare, still a bit afraid of entering the premises of the university where I will be studying for the next four years. But I was more concerned with the possibility that I might regret taking up the course.
Fortunately, I didn't regret anything. More of, if I didn't continue taking it and studied in medical school with most of my high school friends, I guess I wouldn't be happier today.
My first college friend was Nigel. But don't get me wrong. Nigel is a girl. Even I was shocked when she first introduced herself to me. It's pretty funny to think of the coincidence that she and even her handwriting shared same name and same handwriting with my Chemistry teacher in high school. (Not to mention I have a classmate in NSTP wherein her family name is the same with that of my Physics teacher in HS)
I met another friend, Hannah, but we won't be together in any class since she's of another course.
And the day went by swiftly and that's when I realized how close we got on first day of school.
We were only about 24 (I recounted) taking up single and double majors for the Education course, and most of us are Physics-Math students, including me. We had two foreign students so we had to speak English all the time. Including the teachers. And speaking of teachers, I finally met in person (Hahahaha) the batchmate of some of my high school teachers. He's teaching Chemistry for the whole semester. And yesterday we had our formal class in Chem and dang, I'm loving the subject! Though I know how much I despised it in high school (yet ironically got a high grade).
I'm currently taking a break from reviewing my high school Math because later on we will be discussing it in Trigo and in Algebra. Hahaha
Will keep you posted Ü

Tomorrow is the big day :|
During early May, I would always pray that June would arrive immediately. And I am now whining on how close first day of classes is. As close as 17 hours. I mean, yes, I am pretty excited to be in a new environment to discover a lot of things as a college freshman, but the thought of being out of my comfort zone, which is my alma mater, is something very uncomfortable.
I attended the ALEx Reboot Camp last June 2-3 and was able to talk to the college people there. And they assured to us (me and my college-to-be friends) that we will experience what they call "culture shock" most especially that we came from an all-girls school, which won't be anymore once the last remaining all-girls batch will graduate next year.
I went to my alma mater last May 28 to get my investigatory project setup (which was found after pleading help from my Physics teacher and almost an hour of wandering around the under-renovation campus). Then I was able to talk to my former Biology teacher (slash superfriend. Hahaha we're damn close) and we talked about college stuff blablabla and even talked about one of my future professors (a batchmate of some of my high school teachers). Daaaaaaaaang, college spirit is filling my very soul. (*Thanks Louise for accompanying me.)
I can't imagine myself being the newbie type since the last time I was a new student was Kinder. And that's a really long time. Like about 12 years ago.
Also, I got nags from the will-be seniors on facebook regarding their class sections. I remembered last summer we were also like that, nagging about being separated from some of our close friends. But anyway, life goes own. :)
Sighhhhh. I hope my first day will be alright. I'll surely find new friends and awesome professors.
That'll be all for now. Will keep this blog updated with the latest events in my first week of college :)
